How it works

How to use LinkedIn Image Resizer

Choose an image, pick one of six LinkedIn sizes, then drag and zoom to frame it. The crop keeps the exact shape of the size you picked, and you download a JPG or PNG at that size. It all happens in your browser, with no account and no upload to SlideDrift.

  1. 1Choose or drop an image.
  2. 2Select a LinkedIn size preset.
  3. 3Drag the image and adjust the zoom.
  4. 4Choose JPG or PNG and download the crop.

What the LinkedIn image resizer does

The resizer crops an image to a LinkedIn size and saves it at exactly that size. Pick a preset, drag the image to position it, and use the zoom slider to tighten the frame. The crop box always keeps the preset's shape, so the file you download matches it.

It's free to use and works in your browser, without an account. On a keyboard, the arrow keys nudge the image and plus or minus changes the zoom.

Which LinkedIn image size to use

For a single-image post, Post portrait (1080 x 1350, 4:5) takes up the most room in a mobile feed. Square post (1080 x 1080) works for images you want to reuse elsewhere. Post landscape (1200 x 627) suits wide photos and screenshots.

Profile photo (400 x 400) is for your headshot; the preview is round so you can see how a circular frame cuts it. Personal profile cover (1584 x 396) is the banner behind your photo, and Company Page cover (1128 x 191) is the banner on a Company Page. Both are very wide, so keep faces and words near the middle.

Your image stays on your device

Your browser opens the image, draws the crop and creates the download. The image is not sent to SlideDrift's servers, and no AI is involved.

We count basic tool use, such as the file type and size and which preset you downloaded, to see how the tool is used. The picture itself never leaves your device.

Example workflows

Post image: choose a landscape event photo, pick Post portrait, drag the speaker to the centre and download a JPG ready to attach to your post.

Profile photo: choose a recent headshot, pick Profile photo, zoom in until your face fills most of the circle and download it.

Cover: choose a wide photo of your workspace, pick Personal profile cover or Company Page cover, move the part you want seen into the middle and download a PNG if the image includes text.

FAQ

FAQs

Which image formats can I use?

You can open JPEG, PNG and WebP images up to 20 MB. You download the crop as a JPG, which suits photos, or a PNG, which keeps text and sharp edges crisp.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The crop and the download are made in your browser, and the image is not sent to SlideDrift's servers.

What if my image is smaller than the size I picked?

The tool tells you, and you can still download it. The image is enlarged to fit, so it may look soft. Start from a larger original if you have one.
