For you and blog feeds
Get post suggestions from your niche's weekly news and the blogs you follow, then edit, schedule or turn them into carousels.
For you is a feed of post suggestions for signed-in users: ideas from this week's news for your niche, and new posts from the blogs and newsletters you follow. Each suggestion is shown the way the post looks on LinkedIn.
Get weekly ideas for your niche
- Open For you in the app menu, under Home.
- Choose Following at the top of the page and pick your niche. Until you follow something, the first card in the feed, Make this feed yours, opens the same panel.
- Review the source and date shown with each idea.
- For a text post, choose Edit to open it in the scheduling composer, or Schedule to open it with your next suggested posting time filled in. Nothing is posted until you schedule or publish it there.
- For an image post, Edit and Schedule work the same way, with the image attached. An image post is a text post whose story has a key figure, drawn as an image in your Brand Kit colours. The image is saved to your media library when you open it in the composer, so it counts toward your storage.
- For a carousel idea, choose Make carousel to start it in Create with the idea's brief and source, or Edit to review the brief and template first. The button shows what the carousel costs before you press it.
Free accounts see three ideas each week. Paid plans and active trials see the complete weekly set. The ideas are starting points based on current US news for the selected niche, and others in the same niche see the same examples, so review the source and make each post your own before publishing. When you pick a niche that has no ideas yet that week, SlideDrift looks for its news straight away, and your first ideas usually arrive within a few minutes. Until then, and in a week when your niche has none, For you shows the best idea from each niche other people follow.
Turn on the Monday email under Following to get three of the week's ideas in your inbox every Monday. The email shows a preview of the post each idea can become. Each idea's buttons open it in For you: a text or image post opens in the scheduling composer, and a carousel idea opens on its card, where you see the price before anything starts. You can turn the email off there or use the unsubscribe link in an email.
More like this and Not for me
Each idea has More like this and Not for me:
- More like this moves ideas from the same news site, and in the same format (carousel or text post), higher in your feed from then on.
- Not for me hides that idea and moves similar ones lower. On a post from a blog you follow, it just hides the post.
- Undo takes either one back.
On a Free account this also decides which three of the week's ideas you see.
Follow a blog or newsletter
Choose Following at the top of For you and paste a public blog or newsletter address. You can paste the site's address or its RSS or Atom feed. Choose Ideas · free to keep new articles as suggestions, or Made for me to make posts automatically. Pick the post type, how many to make, and a carousel template when needed, then review the credit cost before choosing Follow. To change these choices later, choose Edit next to the blog you follow. SlideDrift checks working feeds about once an hour. Posts already present when you add the feed can appear in For you, but they do not create automatic drafts.
Feed limits are:
- Free: 1 feed.
- Starter: 3 feeds.
- Pro: 10 feeds.
- Agency: 50 feeds.
An active trial uses the feed limit of the plan selected for after the trial.
Choose what happens to a new post
Ideas · free is free. A new post appears in For you, where you can choose what to make from the article:
- Write post creates a saved LinkedIn text post for 5 credits, in your default brand kit's tone and writing guidance when it has them. When the article contains a usable figure, SlideDrift also turns that figure into an image in your Brand Kit colours. The finished post stays in For you with Edit and Schedule; either button opens the scheduling composer with the text and image, when there is one, ready to review.
- Make carousel sends the article to Create and starts the carousel at Create's normal price.
- Edit opens Create with the article so you can choose a template before making the carousel.
SlideDrift charges for Write post only after the post has been written and saved. If it fails, no credits are used and you can try again. Nothing is generated in the background unless you choose the automatic option below.
Made for me creates saved posts automatically from new articles. Choose the format:
- Best fit picks a text post, image post, or carousel to suit each article.
- Carousel makes a draft in your chosen template. Choose Change to browse available gallery templates, saved designs, or your own templates.
- Text writes a text post from the article.
- Image makes an image post from the article's key figure, or a text post when there is no suitable figure.
Text and image posts cost 5 credits each. Carousels use the normal generation price: 10 credits for Standard, 30 for a Pro template, or 100 for a Fast Remix template. Automatic posts use your default Brand Kit where supported, including its writing guidance; carousel drafts also use its colours, fonts, and identity details where the design has a place for them.
Choose 1 a week, 3 a week, 1 a day, or All for each blog. Weekly limits count the last seven days, and daily limits count the last 24 hours. All still allows at most three automatic posts per blog in 24 hours, with text, image, and carousel posts counted together. New follows start with 1 a week; existing blogs keep their previous setting until you change it. Articles beyond the limit stay available as free ideas.
The panel shows the weekly credit ceiling for a fixed limit, or an estimate based on the blog's recent pace for All. Open that cost line for the breakdown. Publishing a carousel costs another 20 credits; publishing text or image posts is free.
Credits are reserved when an automatic post starts, charged when it is ready, and released if generation fails. If the account cannot cover the post, SlideDrift leaves the article available without starting it. Ready posts stay in For you with Edit and Schedule. Review them before publishing; automatic creation does not publish them. When ready-email delivery is available for a carousel draft, the email links to the same places.
Open a generated draft in the editor to review its wording, layout, images, and source before exporting or scheduling it.
